Ford catalog gasket application: 18mm gasket 'To 01/16/2006', 20mm gasket 'From 01/16/2006' - engines built before ~2006-01-16 are 18mm, on/after are 20mm (vendor pages cite 01-11/12; the catalog row is authoritative). Determine by the engine build date on the valve-cover / door tag, or measure the dowel, or read the head casting number (18mm: 1843080C1/C2/C3; 20mm: 1870389C1) before ordering a head gasket.
