Symptoms

Root cause

Cam and crank position sensors (and the cam phaser actuator solenoid) are the NHTSA sensors cluster (13, 2021-2023-heavy); hard-start/no-start stalls track these before deeper fuel work.

Diagnosis

read correlation DTCs and live cam/crank data
actuate the phaser solenoid; check screens for debris
replace per DTC direction; verify battery health first
