Coil-on-plug ignition for the 2V (SOHC 2-valve) engines: 4.6L/5.4L/6.8L 2V incl. the F-150 4.6L 2V, Super Duty/Excursion 2003-2004 and E-Series; catalog rows list E-Series 2V engines through the CNG years. 3V engines (5.4L/6.8L 3V, 2005+) take DG-511 - see Ignition Coil, COP - 3V engines (Motorcraft DG-511). Misfire diagnosis on these trucks has dedicated Ford COP diagnostic bulletins (TSB 03144 / 031404 / 041601 - WDS COP kit diagnostic tips): check for cracked boots and carbon tracking before condemning coils, and replace the boot with the coil where supplied separately. DG-513 is a 3.0L car part - not applicable despite the close number.
