The differential-pressure-feedback EGR sensor is the classic gas EGR failure: P0401/P0402 with rough idle, the 'non-commanded EGR flow' Ford bulletin territory (TSB 05417 and the ESM-era MAF service tip 0531; service-tip 17568 documents normal EGR operation as a diagnostic trap). Sensor PNs vary by year (F77E-9J460-family / Motorcraft DPFE4-class) - match the old sensor. Replacing the sensor without checking the EGR orifice tubes for carbon is the classic repeat failure. Pass-2: sensor PN varies by year on the F-150/Expedition too - match the old sensor.
