Failure mode - Ram 6.4L HEMI Gasoline (Ram HD 2019+)
Fuel delivery service (in-tank pump / PFI injectors)
Reliability tier: aggregated - verify before ordering, see /disclosure/
Symptoms
- long crank / low rail pressure complaints on high-mileage trucks
- PFI injector service as wear
Compare with the other causes of the same sign on this engine: hard start, long crank or no-start
Root cause
Sequential multiport injection: no high-pressure pump, no DI carbon. The fuel surface is the in-tank delivery side and PFI hardware; owner reports sparse compared with the diesel sibling.
Diagnosis
- verify delivery pressure at the rail before replacing hardware
- rule out electrical/relay causes for no-starts first
Fixes
service: delivery hardware as needed ()
- fuel-delivery - more than one option: 6.4L HEMI Fuel Pump / Sender Module, 2019-2021 (OEM), 6.4L HEMI Fuel Pump / Sender Module, 2021+ (OEM), Ram 2500/3500 In-Tank Lift Pump Upgrade, 50-gal tank (Fleece PowerFlo, 2020-2024)
