Recipe - Ford 7.3L Godzilla Gasoline (Super Duty 2020+, E-Series cutaway 2021+)
Specific Fix build
Reliability tier: verified - verify before ordering, see /disclosure/
Exhaust manifold leak repair for the 7.3L Godzilla (mode Exhaust manifold leaks (broken manifold bolts)): cold-start tick and soot tracks at the flange. The manifolds and the hardware split by year (2020-22 LC3Z vs 2023+ PC3Z); the gasket and stud kit are single-use.
Parts

Install order
- locate the leak cold; check every stud for stretch/corrosion
- renew the leaking side with the year-correct manifold
- fresh gasket (and stud kit on 2023+) - never reuse
- torque in sequence cold; re-check after the first heat cycle
Expected outcome
No cold-start tick, no flange soot, no exhaust smell.
Do not
- never reinstall stretched manifold studs or the old gasket
