Banks Power Monster-Ram Intake & Killer Grid Heater Upgrade (2007.5-2012 Ram 2500/3500 pickup, 6.7L Cummins)

verified Upgrade option · manufacturer fitment Aftermarket MPNBanks Power 42797

Fitment per Banks Power fitment file (received 2026-09-30; Billy deltas applied 2026-10-24): year x model refs for Ram 2500/3500 pickups. Banks sells a separate chassis-cab Monster-Ram line, so this record is not claimed for chassis-cab configurations. Color variants (Natural / Black / Red powdercoat) share one dealer listing. The Banks file stops at 2024 - 2025/2026 configurations are not claimed.

Why this is listed as an upgrade

The factory intake elbow carries the grid heater whose retention bolt works loose and gets ingested - the documented failure of Grid heater 'killer bolt' ingestion. The Banks Monster-Ram replaces the factory elbow and grid heater with a high-flow intake design; the manufacturer states it 'Prevents killer grid heater bolt failure'. Manufacturer claim, quoted - performance and flow figures are never tiered as verified facts.

Fitment facts come from the manufacturer's dated fitment file. Performance and flow claims are quoted from the manufacturer and are not tiered as verified facts - see /disclosure/.
